Every week, Shawn went out of his way to provide a safe, comfortable, and equitable learning environment for the boys and girls who participated. He treated each student with the utmost care and respect and, in doing so, became a mentor to them. While he taught them about the game of hockey and how to develop their skills, he showed them how being good people can translate to being successful in different areas of life.
