THE PLAY OF THE WEEK

Last week, I had the privilege of hosting an intimate group of leaders from across North America for two one-day intensives.

The first day was all about “Leading Like A Champion,” while the second day was about creating your “Signature Talk.”

In the room was a great mixture of experiences, and each of them has a tremendous track record of personal and professional success.

I absolutely love putting amazing people in the same room; the real conversations, sharing, learning, and laughter are electric.

GET ON THE ICE

You can only grow to the level of the environments you put yourself in.

Imagine you were in the room with us last week. You left feeling inspired and excited to return to your company and share your learnings, only to be met with pessimism and a “That will never work here” attitude. It’s demoralizing.

Here are a few questions to help keep you on your path to growth:

What do you want more of in your personal and professional life?

  1. Where are the groups of people that already have what you want?
  2. If you are not sure where to begin, get curious and start asking questions.
  3. Put yourself in those environments, even if it feels uncomfortable.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

The best professional advice I ever received was…

“Don’t change who you are, just change who you spend your time and energy with.”
