THE PLAY OF THE WEEK
I know it’s September 30th, but I want you to think about New Year’s Eve this year. What are your plans? What do you want to celebrate?
Here’s the truth: If you’ve had a rough patch the first nine months of the year, the great news is the game is always won in the fourth quarter, not the first three.
You’ve got three months left to play. Make them count.
Every year I focus on four core areas: health, personal, business, and relationships. Then I develop three routines for each one and keep score weekly.
Sounds simple? It is. But consistently doing it is the challenge.
Your future self on New Year’s Eve will thank your current self for taking action today.
GET ON THE ICE
Invest 20-30 minutes on these questions (don’t just go back to emails):
Question 1: Looking back to January, which goals are you happy with? Which ones make you cringe because you’ve been avoiding them?
Question 2: Fast forward to New Year’s Eve this year – what do you want to be celebrating regarding your health, business, and relationships?
Question 3: Write down one daily routine for each area that will give you momentum starting today.
Question 4: What do you need to do more of, less of, start, stop, and continue?
Question 5: Write a letter to your future self today, thanking your current self for making hard decisions and starting today. Open it on New Year’s Eve.
