THE PLAY OF THE WEEK
Halloween is the one night we celebrate being scared. But in business, we spend the other 364 days running from what frightens us.
Here’s what I’ve learned after working with hundreds of family business owners: The things that scare you most are usually the things you need to do most.
Scared to raise your prices? That’s probably because you know you should. Scared to have that tough conversation? That’s because it’s overdue. Fear isn’t your enemy – it’s your compass pointing toward what matters most.
The most successful business owners I know aren’t fearless. They do it anyway.
GET ON THE ICE
Ready to face your business fears? Here’s your action plan:
- Name your fear: Write down the one business decision you’ve been avoiding
- Understand the cost: What’s it costing you to keep avoiding this?
- Break it down: What’s the smallest first step you could take?
- Take action: Do that one small thing this week – fear loses power when you stop running
