THE PLAY OF THE WEEK

Stop Checking Your Phone in the Restroom

We’ve all been there—sneaking a look at our phones in the restroom, at dinner, or during a meeting. It’s become such a habit that we barely notice it anymore. But every time you check your phone, you’re letting distractions steal your focus and your presence.

The most successful leaders I know are fully present—with their clients, their teams, and their families. They don’t let their phones dictate their attention. When you’re present, you build trust, make better decisions, and enjoy life more.

Your phone is a distraction device. The more you check it, the more distracted you become.

GET ON THE ICE

This week’s challenge:

  1. Pick one time each day to go phone-free. Maybe it’s during your morning routine, at dinner, or in meetings.
  2. Be fully present. When you’re with someone, give them your full attention—no phone, no distractions.
  3. Notice the difference. See how your relationships, focus, and energy improve when you’re truly present.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“It is about making the wisest possible investment of your time and energy in order to operate at our highest point of contribution by doing only what is essential.”
