THE PLAY OF THE WEEK

We live in a world where it’s easy to hide behind emails and texts. But real change happens through real conversations. If you’re honest, there’s probably one conversation you’ve been putting off—personally or professionally.

Avoiding it is costing you. It’s costing the other person, too.

Stop avoiding that one conversation you’ve been putting off. Start by scheduling it.

GET ON THE ICE

Three steps to move forward:

  1. Ask yourself: What is it costing you to keep avoiding this conversation? Personally, professionally, financially?
  2. Schedule it: Put it in your calendar. If it’s not scheduled, it won’t happen.
  3. Prepare: Plan how you’ll open the conversation (why you’re having it), and how you’d like it to end (the action steps or outcome).

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“Our work, our relationships, and our lives succeed or fail one conversation at a time.”
